We had a little family vacation in May and I am so excited to write down (type) all our memories here. We had a 7 days 6 nights vacation in Jeju Island around mid-May. We stayed at 2 different accommodation. Very little planning done as it was pretty last minute. However, I thought it was a wonderful trip with good weather and great company.
Final leg of our trip: Dunsborough & Mandurah
The last post that took forever! Finally, this is it. The final leg of our trip at Dunsborough and our 3rd accommodation at Mandurah. Dunsborough is still one of our favorite and we definitely want to go back again, soon.

Our family trip to Perth – Part 1
Long overdue post on our family trip to Perth. When you travel with 2 toddlers, you can plan 10 things to do in a day, but you probably manage to cover 2 to 3 out of 10. The time taken to get ready differs everyday depending on the mood of your child. So, here’s our family trip of 4 adults and 2 toddlers to Perth. We spent 10 days from 1 Dec to 9 Dec (summer time) at 3 different location. We would love to go back to Perth again some day. I am sure writing this post now will bring back lots of fond memories.
Not cool to be sick
It is the first time I have encountered Baby A being sick for 1 week. It is kind of weird that her temperature goes as high as 40 degree celcius but only at night. Day time, she feels a bit warm but within 37 to 38 degree celcius. It was definitely a painful, sleepless week for us. Every night, I pray that her fever won’t come back and that I’d rather be the one that’s sick instead of her.
They say a good pair of shoes will take you to good places, I say that is very true
Yes, a good pair of shoes will not only take you to good places but also protect your feet. Baby A started walking, actual real steps without support during our first trip overseas. It was Baby A’s first trip overseas and first time walking on her own! This girl enjoyed herself so much and I am going to share with you why I think a good pair of shoes is essential for babies, especially at the initial stage. There were 2 pair of shoes that we got for Baby A. Both very different but yet very suitable for the each of her “walking” journey as a baby. I will share with you and hope you will get your baby a good pair of shoes too.
Merdeka post: our future depends on our next generation
In the spirit of Merdeka, let us all have a think about this statement. “Our future depends on our next generation”. I totally agree with this statement and I believe for all parents, we want to make sure that the next generation is better off than we are. But how are we doing this and is there anything we can do? Yesterday was the results release day for Cambridge IGCSE/O Levels/ AS & A Levels. Two of my friends’ children also received their IGCSE results yesterday. They both did extremely well, straight As! After chatting with them, I started thinking what was I doing when I was 15 years old.

Baby A’s One Year Old Birthday Party at MyBurgerLab SeaPark
Baby A turns 1 year old on 20th July 2017. She probably doesn’t have a clue what “birthday”is all about. She doesn’t need to. For every 1 year old, I believe their first birthday party is not their. It is their parents. Here’s me talking about Baby A’s birthday party, or is it my fantasy birthday party? You will know why as you read on. Firstly, we would like to thank our dear friend Chang Ming from MyBurgerLab for providing us with the wonderful venue and food! It was a small but memorable birthday party and we thank our families and friends for being there with us at Baby A’s One Year Old Birthday Party.

Being a Mom for 1 Year Now
Time sure passes by so quickly without us realizing. It has been 11 months since I became a Mom. Next month will be Baby A’s first birthday! Can’t believe she is turning 1 year old! My little Bulat is no longer Bulat. I am still waiting for the “sleep through the night” to happen. I am hoping she will grow up quickly but at the same time I hope she doesn’t. My breastfeeding journey has been pretty good but it’s time to wean her off and I don’t know how. Here’s a quick top 5 things I learnt in 1 year.
Crying non-stop. Depression or emotional distress?
After I have typed the header for my blog, I have been sitting in front of my laptop for the last 15 minutes thinking how to start writing my entry. I was involved in a minor accident. Just a very minor one near my condo. No one was hurt. Minimal damage on the car too. However, I couldn’t remember anything. The next few days, I was just crying non-stop and I don’t know why. I am not sure if this is what you call depression. Or emotional distress? If you are reading my blog, why don’t you tell me what is wrong with me.
